January Ipsy Glam Bag: 19 Reasons

Ipsy Glam Bag January Makeup Review

In the Bag: I got some interesting goodies in this glam bag. I wasn’t particularly CRAZY about anything in general but I do have some pleasant surprises. Starting with what I think to be the best thing in my bag: I am absolutely in LOVE with my SEXY HAIR Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner. This was one of those “hmm not crazy about this” products that ended up being amazing. I have thick, frizzy hair that is for the most part, uncooperative.  This stuff leaves her feeling soft, manageable and the next day my hair looks lust-worthy! Two huge thumbs up.

Next up in my bag is the MALIN+GOETZ Mojito Lip Balm.  I am a HUGE lip balm junkie, in fact off the top of my head I’ve got at least 5 different lip balms in my vicinity. I don’t leave home without it. I suffer of chronic dry lips (such a turn off, I know).  Again another product I just wasn’t excited about, mainly because I’d never heard of this brand in my life.  This was love at first application. It smells slightly of mojito (hence the name I suppose) it’s consistency is nice and thick without being sticky. Best part is that it does truly moisturize your lips! I find myself reaching for this right before applying any lipstick.

I also received a very cute Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow eyeliner in the color Penny. The staying power is pretty good and it does go on very smoothly.  I am a huge fan of her mascara and this eyeliner doesn’t disappoint! I got a very cool copper color and it really works with my brown eyes.  I love using it on my lower lash line for a pop of shimmer.

Ipsy also sent me a SKIIN Soothing and Smoothing Eye Cream, which is great considering I am opening up to trying different eye creams. I have been using it daily in the AM and in the PM. I think I have been using it for too short a time period to notice anything different in my fine lines, but it’s good to feel a more emollient cream under my eyes (feels like I am doing something good for that sensitive skin).

Last but not least I got 4 Proactiv Mark Fading Pads. In all honesty I have yet to use them for a few reasons. I am a stickler about what I put on my face since I have super sensitive and breakout prone skin, and because let’s face it, 4 pads isn’t enough to garner results.  I will probably give this away to a friend or keep them there till I decide to throw em out.

Anybody else an Ipsy Glam Bag member? If so what did you get? 🙂
