This Just In: My Thoughts on Cocoa Brown Tan…
Cocoa Brown Tan is a European line of self tanners that launched in 2012 and will very soon be debuting here in the States. The people over at Cocoa Brown Tan were nice enough to give me one for review and I could not wait to try it out because it’s cold and I’m pale (well was). I got to try the 1 Hour Tan Mousse, it came with its pink tanning mitten (super cute).
I am by NO MEANS a self tanner, nor someone who ever really bought any of these self-tanning products, so I’m not an expert in application (at all). This foamy mousse formula smells super good and was actually easy to apply and spread around my skin. So the application part was very easy, even for me (that’s saying a whole lot). I was also afraid it might be streaky or uneven, not the case at all.
Once you apply the mouse onto your skin, rub it in using wide circular motions you can let it dry for 30 mins (if you want a slight tan), 1 hour (for a deeper tan), 2 hours (for an even deeper tan) and so forth. I wouldn’t recommend going over 3 hours though.
I figured, hell I’m going ALL IN, so I kept the mousse on for 2 hours. Luckily if you’re like me and don’t know much about self tanners the bottle comes with some really good to know tips…read em and proceed.
After 2 hours I showered and hit the sack. The next day I woke up feeling like a bronzed goddess. TOO GEEKED! So yeah, I’m walking around NYC looking like a vacation. The color looks natural and flawless. Third day in and my color is still looking healthy! I also really wanna note how much I love that it’s moisturizing. After applying it literally gave my skin this dewy glow to it. Very J.Lo, I like.
The only downfall as with any self tanner (after doing some research) is the actual waiting, although an hour is pretty painless (I just sat around and watched TV). Other than that if you are into self tanners and wanna keep yourself looking like a Grecian babe, I say pick this up once it’s available in the states 🙂
I’ll update with before and after pics 🙂
